Happy Father’s Day! Let's celebrate Fathers as that’s what makes this months products extra special. There is an opportunity for dads to be encouraged and engage with their kiddos. But, there is also an opportunity to turn to our Heavenly Father and be encouraged. Let’s rest in the truth that we have a Father in Heaven who knows you, loves you, and will meet your every need. We know that in the many different stages of motherhood, there are times when you have opportunities to have meaningful discussions. Then there are those seasons when showering is no longer a necessity, but a special treat! We understand! So we have two sections, Have a lot of time or a little time? You can decide which section you would like to do each month, celebration and season based on your families needs.
Have a lot of time…
The Playing Cards - Write something you love, appreciate, or admire about dad on each of the blank playing cards. If your kids are too young to write, let them color, draw pictures, or put stickers on the cards. Give these to dad on Father’s Day and invite him to play cards or look up some magic tricks on youtube.com and learn them together. You could also enjoy building card houses and other structures depending on the ages of your kiddos. If dad is not around, write something on each card that makes your family unique or special. Plan special family nights to play card games, do card tricks, or build card houses.
The Father’s Hands - Place these hands at the center of the dinner table. Early in the month, sit down with the blank cards and write peoples names or things you would you like to pray for each night at dinner. You can use the “Thankful” cards to record what or who you would like to thank God for. Each night, someone can draw a card out of the stack and add that person or request to the meal time prayer. This is a beautiful illustration of putting things in God’s hands.
Have a little time...
The Playing Cards - Write one word about your dad, your family, or your Heavenly Father on each card. Each time you play with the cards, you’ll be reminded that your family is unique, special, and cared for by your Heavenly Father. The
Father’s Hands - Keep the Father’s Hands on your kitchen table. Whenever you think of it or feel inspired, grab a card and write down a prayer request or the name of someone for whom you could pray. Add this request or name to your meal time prayer. Thank you for choosing faith, fellowship and fun for your family!
