What is Family Treedition

Family Treedition is a Christian based family operated business that is focused on planting seeds of faith and growing traditions in homes to help families build stronger relationships and experiences that will be passed down for generations to come. Our quality products and traditions are rooted in Christ and are designed for busy people to implement with ease while making lasting impressions on everyone’s heart.

My product looks slightly different than the one on the website?

We sell many handmade and hand painted items. Like the hands that make them, each piece will vary, that’s what makes yours special. The item delivered to your door may not match the one you see in the picture exactly. Dimensions, weights and design features may vary slightly from the pictures show online.  Variances in color as well as imperfections are not to be considered defects in our craftsmanship. These differences are what make them unique and makes us love them even more.

I have a question or concern about the product I just received, how should I let you know?

Our customers and your satisfaction are the most important thing to our small family business. Please email us directly at info@familytreedition.com and we will get back to you within 24 hours to answer any questions or help you in any way we can.

I’m interested in promoting your products. Do you offer an affiliate program?

Yes, whether you are a large blogger, have a network of loyal followers or simply want to share our products with your friends, we want your help to share Family Treeditions values and products to plant seeds of faith with others. We are launching an affiliate program soon. It is free to join and will include product discounts and/or compensation for your sales when your audience purchases from familytreedition.com with your affiliate code.

Payment and Orders

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  We also accept PayPal.

I am not sure if my order went through. What should I do?

If your order was successfully processed, you will quickly receive an email from info@familytreedition.com with your confirmation number. If you do not receive this or have questions, please email us at info@familytreedition.com and we will be happy to help complete your order.

Can I place an order over the phone?

Yes! Please email your name, phone number and quick summary of what you would like to order to info@familytreedtion.com. We will call you within one business day to verify information and process your order over the phone.

Can I make changes to my order after I have submitted it?

We try to process orders same day, but we will do our best to honor your requests regarding a pending order. If you need to make a change, please contact us immediately at in-fo@familytreedition.com. If the order has not been fulfilled, we can modify it. If it has already been processed, we will not be able to alter or cancel the order.

The item I want to purchase is sold out. Can I still order it?

We will make every effort to help get you the product you want. Please email us the details at info@familytreedition.com.

Do you ever place your products on sale?

We strive for fair pricing all year long to keep our prices affordable so everyone can grow fami-ly traditions in their home. From time to time, typically after a holiday has past, we will offer discounted prices on remaining inventory.

Shipping

What is the price for shipping?

Shipping charges within the continental US are based upon your total purchase order. 

      $0 - $25 = $5 Shipping 

      $25.01 - $74.99 = $8 Shipping

      Orders Over $75 and select subscription orders = FREE Shipping

After placing my order, when can I expect my order to arrive?

We do our best to process your order within 24 business hours of receiving it barring any unexpected issues or inventory constraints. Then, it typically takes 7-12 days to arrive in the continental US. Once your order ships, you will receive shipping information via email so you can track your package.

Is a signature required for package delivery?

Do you offer international shipping?

Can I ship your products to someone other than myself?

Yes, we love when you share our great traditions with others. You will be able to select a shipping address that is different from the billing address during the check out process.

In the event my product arrives broken or damaged, what should I do?

We try very hard to package our quality products well, so they arrive safely to you. However, unfortunately shipping accidents do occur so please contact us at info@familytreedition.com within 7 days of receiving your damaged item. Please email a photo of the product that is broken and the packing box. Once we receive your email and photo, we will send you pre-paid postage to ship the damaged item back to us and will happily ship you a replacement as soon as we receive it.

If I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, can I pick up my order locally?

Our products are stored and shipped from a distribution center so we do not accommodate customer pickups. If you have a large order or special circumstance, please email us at info@familytreedition.com to discuss other options.

Policies

What is your return policy?

We hope you love our products and use them for generations to come but in the event that the product is not what you were expecting, we will provide a full refund if you choose to return your product. You have 15 days from receipt of order to return the item(s) for a full product refund (minus delivery charges) or you have 30 days for online credit (minus delivery charges) to purchase other products at familytreedition.com. 

Please first contact us at info@familytreedition.com to let us know you are returning your product. Provide your name, original invoice number and a tracking id number so we can be on the lookout for the return. Once we receive the undamaged product, we will issue a refund or store credit for the price of the product returned within 5-7 business days. You are responsible for any shipping charges incurred.

After making a return, when should I expect to receive my refund?

Once your return is received in good condition, please allow 7-10 business days to see the re-fund reflected on your credit card. If you are receiving an online credit, we will email you with your credit total and how to use it towards a future purchase within 3-5 business days.

Can I cancel my order?

Oh no, we don’t want to lose your business, but we understand that sometimes things happen. Should you need to cancel a pending order, please contact us immediately at info@familytreedition.com. If the order has not been fulfilled, we can cancel it. If fulfillment has occurred, cancellation is not possible. You can however make a return upon receipt within the first 15 days for a full refund minus the delivery charges.

What is your privacy policy?

The information you give us is for our secure database and is only used for our records. It is NOT distributed or sold to anyone else.

Outside of your website, where can I purchase Family Treedition products?

Familytreedition.com is the best avenue to purchase our products. We also have select items available on Etsy.

Tradition Box

What is the price for shipping Tradition Box subscription?

Shipping is FREE within the continental USA for 3, 6 and 12 month Tradition Box subscriptions.

How do I subscribe to the Tradition Box subscription?

You simply choose which Tradition Box package works the best for you, month to month, semi-annual (6 months) or annual (12 months) subscription. 

How do payments work with the subscription?

With the monthly option, your credit card will be billed every 30 days for the upcoming month then you will receive your product by the end of that month. You can start and stop whenever you would like. For the semi-annual option, you receive a discount for paying upfront for the products then they ship every other month for 6 months. For the annual option, you get the best pricing as you pay for the year at the time of purchase then you will receive the product by the end of each month for the following 12 months. Your subscription will automatically renew to your existing credit card at the end of your term unless you choose to opt out.

Can I cancel my monthly subscription?

We hate to see you go but yes, you can cancel you monthly to month subscription at any time with no cancellation fee by logging into your account and cancelling your subscription. If it is before the 17th of the month, you will not be charged, and that month’s subscription will not be shipped. If you cancel after the 17th of the month, you will be charged for that month and product will ship one final time then the cancellation of payment and product will take effect the next billing cycle. 

If you purchased the 6 or 12 month subscription, you may cancel the subscription at the end of the term you signed up for and paid for. Since these memberships offer a large discount, they are nonrefundable for the pre-paid plan amount. 

To prevent the next membership renewal, log into your account and cancel you membership at least 15 days before it expires.

What items can I expect in my Tradition Box?

Tradition Box: This subscription was designed for the busy family that wants to bring a meaningful experience to their home each month but doesn’t have the time to create, buy and implement it. We curate the best of the best items from our product line as well as some new and exciting items.  The Tradition Box typically revolves around the largest holiday each month, you will receive a high-quality product that serves as the main focus for the month. This item is typically meant to be placed on the kitchen area, coffee table or nightstand. Wherever people gather in your home to connect is where you will want to display it. Then you will receive other items in the Tradition Box that help bring to life the true meaning of holiday with Christian values and experiences you can enjoy together as a family. Many of the items you receive can also be used throughout the year and are all designed to use year after year then be handed down to the next generation to keep the traditions going.

What is the difference between a monthly, 6 month and 12 month membership?

If you join one of our subscription services, you have the option to choose to be billed monthly as a recurring charge or pay up front for the 6 or 12 month subscriptions. The main difference between these two types of subscriptions is below! 

Monthly recurring members are billed when you first purchase a subscription, and then again each month for the upcoming subscription to be sent. This occurs each month until the member logs into their account to cancel the membership as they have the option to stop the subscription at any point. 

6 or 12 month members are billed when they first purchase the subscription. The 6 or 12 month membership is a way receive a significant discounted by prepaying for the subscription then you will receive it every month for 6 to 12 months. No cancellation can occur during the time signed up for. The subscription will auto re-new the last month of the subscription originally signed up for or the member can log into their account to cancel it before the 17th of the final month.

Can I buy just one month?

Yes, you can sign up for the monthly subscription and if you decide to cancel before you are billed for the next shipment, you can simply cancel your subscription before the 17th of the month and there is no penalty or fee for cancellation!

Write Plate + Celebration Kits

What is a Write Plate Celebration Kit?

We created the Write Plate Celebration Kits to make it easy for you to celebrate any holiday, sport or special occasion by combining our favorite topper, cling and coordinating ribbon so all you have to do is weave the ribbon through your Write Plate, peel and place the Write Words cling on it and add the magnetic topper for a personalized and customized look.

Does the Write Plate come with the Celebration Kit?

Yes, we have included the Write Plate at a special price with our 3, 6 and 12 Celebration Kit packages that state that the Write Plate is included.  


If you already have our Write Plate, simply scroll down a little further and select the button that states Celebration Kits without the Write Plate and you will see 3, 6 and 12 kit options that do NOT include the Write Plate but you will still save money by buying the Celebration Kits as at the package price. 

How do payments with the Celebration Kit Packages work?

Choose the package that is right for you and fits within your budget.  Add it to the cart then proceed to the payment options to pay it in full and place your order.

Can I buy just the Topper or Cling or Ribbon separately?

Yes, we sell the Toppers, Poppers and Clings individually.  Just check out the product pages for all of the options if  you don't see a Celebration Kit that works for you.  We also see 5-pack ribbon sets for even more options to decorate your plate throughout the year.

Write Plate

What is included with my Write Plate purchase?

You will receive a porcelain Write Plate pre-strung with a black and white houndstooth ribbon (excluding the plain and polka plate). The plate is packaged in a double corrugated gift box along with a Black Write Marker and idea sheet showing different ways to use the product.

Once I write on the Write Plate, can I wipe it off and change the message?

Yes! Write a message and change it whenever you choose! The Write Plate comes with a black Write Marker that is designed to write on the plate then simply wipe it back off. It writes dark and clearly yet can be wiped off completely with a damp or dry paper towel.

Can I use my own pens on the Write Plate?

You may use other dry-erase type pens on the Write Plate, however we can only guarantee the quality and Write Plate with the Write Plate Marker.  Other markers and pens may leave a ghost image.

Can I write a permanent message on my Write Plate?

Yes, you can personalize your plate by writing a message with permanent marker on our Write Plate. Or, sign the back of the Write Plate before gifting it to that special someone. Simply write or drawn on it with a permanent marker. If you make a mistake, don’t worry…. just use a little rubbing alcohol to erase your it and try again!

Can you write a message on my Write Plate or change the ribbon for me prior to shipping?

The Write Plate makes a wonderful gift and many people do personalize it with a message and different ribbon. We do not offer this service, but we try to make it easy for you with different ideas and instructions on how to customize our products when they arrive to your home.

Can I eat off the Write Plate after I have written a message on it?

We do not recommend eating off the Write Plate once a message is written on the serving surface. However, once you wipe off your writing and the surface is clean again, eat away!

Will you offer new toppers in the future?

We are always working on new toppers! Check out our latest line of 3D popper toppers launch-ing each holiday in 2019. Plus, check our store for updates, subscribe to our emails, and follow our social media channels for new product releases.

I’m having trouble attaching my topper. How can I get it to stay on my plate?

Our toppers utilize magnets to attach to your plate. When you purchase your topper, you will notice a magnet on the backside. There is also a “free floating” backer magnet included. Simply place the topper on the front side of your plate where you would like it attached. Then, place the backer magnet directly behind the topper on the backside of your plate and the topper should adhere on the majority of the plate. If it does not, simply reposition it a little before let-ting to go the front and back and try again. 

Please note the magnets used with our toppers are very strong. If the backer magnet is placed directly against the topper magnet, it could pull the topper magnet out of the topper. If this happens, super glue your magnet back in to repair it. Also, please do not store your backer magnet attached to the topper magnet when not in use on your plate.

Is the ribbon for the Write Plate interchangeable and what are the dimensions?

Yes, the ribbons are designed to be interchangeable and used throughout the year for the Square and Round Write Plate with the scalloped edging. Each plate ribbon is 2 yards long and 1.5 inches wide. We offer many fun packs to accent your plate/platter so mix and match away. You can use one or two ribbons at a time to create your perfect look.

How do the Write Words Reusable Clings work?

Simply detach the cling from the backing and gently lay it on your Square Write Plate. There is no need to apply pressure as this can cause air pockets in the cling. Should you need to clean the cling, gently wipe it with a damp cloth or paper towel.

Once you are ready to remove your cling, simply peel it off the plate. Place it on the backing page and into the plastic storage envelope then store it flat for safe keeping.

What color is the Iron Plate Stand featured on your website?

The Write Plate stand is made of wrought iron and is black/brown with an antique finish. When using the Iron Stand with your Write Plate, please be careful attaching the magnet directly to the plate to ensure it does not catch on the iron of the stand.

My topper doesn’t look exactly like the one on the website. Why?
